The DOS Detective End User License Agreement (EULA) This license agreement (LICENSE) is a legal agreement between you (LICENSEE), either an individual or a single entity (of which you are an authorized representative), and The DOS Detective (which include copyright owners and product authors), for this software product (SOFTWARE). This agreement also governs any later releases or updates of the SOFTWARE. By installing and using the SOFTWARE, you agree to be bound by the terms of this LICENSE. If you do not agree to the terms of this LICENSE, do not install or use the SOFTWARE. The DOS Detective grants a nonexclusive license to use the SOFTWARE
to the original LICENSEE. Copies may be made for back-up or archival
purposes only. This product is licensed for use by the original LICENSEE
only, and only on computers owned by the LICENSEE. The FIRST copy of
a single user license of the SOFTWARE that is purchased by a new LICENSEE
may be used simultaneously on up to 3 (Three) computers as long as the
following conditions are met. (2) Each computer sharing this license must be owned by, and under the control of, the LICENSEE. (3) All computers sharing this license must reside at the same physical location (within the same structure). In the case of a Laptop computer, the "Home base" of the Laptop must be the same as the other computers sharing this license. "Home base" is defined as the physical location that the Laptop resides the majority the time. (4) The computers must not be owned by a business entity, or used by the employees of a business entity. They MAY be used in a small, home-based, unincorporated business as long as all of the other conditions herein are met. Corporate or Business Entities must purchase a Multi-user license equal to the number of computers that the SOFTWARE will run on. (5) The LICENSEE agrees that subsequent single user licenses purchased will only give license for use on 1 (one) additional computer. In no case shall more that one single user license be used under this 3-user option in the same physical location or by the same LICENSEE. IE: If a LICENSEE has 5 computers under the same roof AND meets all previous conditions AND wants to run the SOFTWARE on all 5 computers, the LICENSEE must purchase either (a) 3 single user licenses (3 computers using the 1st single license purchase and 1 computer each using each subsequent single license purchase) or (b)a multi-user license for 5 users. (The (b) option will qualify the LICENSEE licenses as a Multi-user version. The (a) option will NOT qualify the LICENSEE licenses as Multi-user.) When the software is registered, a key-code and serial number will
be provided, which enables the full functions of the SOFTWARE beyond
the demonstration period. The value of the key-code and serial number
may NOT be distributed or made known. The SOFTWARE may be distributed
in it's originally distributed form (uninstalled demo mode) as long
as the following conditions are met: The SOFTWARE may be included and pre-installed in conjunction with a new computer `package', as long as it is (a) in the original demo mode (unregistered) and (b) has obvious documentation that informs the computer LICENSEE that it is a demonstration version and will require paid registration to operate past the demonstration period.
